Throughout this week students from secondary school worked on a Project concerning the environment. We called this project Environmental Awareness Week and included topics such as Global Warming, Ecological Means of Transport, Deforestation, and Pollution.

Our objective was to make students aware of the problems our planet is going through and encourage them to take some action.

Students first carried out research and prepared themselves for an open class in which they explained their findings to the rest of the school.

Two groups from Fifth Year put forward two proposals for reforestation of the school playground, and after a tough election the winning team planted several species aided by some primary school students.

Durante esta semana alumnos de la secundaria trabajaron en un proyecto acerca del medio ambiente. Llamamos a este proyecto “Environmental Awareness Week” (semana de concientización sobre el medio ambiente) e incluía temas como el Calentamiento Global, Medios alternativos de transporte, deforestación, y polución.

Nuestro objetivo era que los alumnos tomaran consciencia de los problemas por los que atraviesa el planeta e instarlos a tomar acciones.

Primero realizaron trabajos de investigación para luego exponer sus hallazgos al resto de sus compañeros en una clase abierta.

Dos grupos de alumnos de Quinto Año presentaron propuestas para reforestar el patio del colegio, y tras una ajustada elección, el equipo ganador plantó varias especies de árboles ayudados por alumnos de la primaria.
